Form settings
Open the Settings tab in the builder. Changes show in the preview straight away and are saved with the form.
After someone submits
- Thank-you message: what people see after submitting (up to 500 characters). Without one, they see "Your response to … was received."
- Or send them to a page: a full
https://address to send people to instead. It replaces the thank-you message.
When the form closes
- Close on: the form stops taking answers at the end of the chosen day.
- Response limit: the form closes after this many answers (1 to 100,000).
A closed form shows "This form is closed" to anyone who opens the link. To reopen it, edit the form and change or remove the date or limit.
Items on your board
Build item names from answers
Turn this on to name each new item from up to 3 answers, joined in the order you pick them, for example
Kestrel Freight · 2026-10-13. You can include Submission date (UTC). The form then stops asking for a name.
If every chosen answer is left blank, the item is named after the form's title and the date.
Record which form created each item
Choose a Text column on the board, and Waypost writes the form's title into it on each new item. Handy when several forms feed one board. Only Text columns that aren't already questions on the form are offered.
Embed on your website
List the https sites allowed to show the form, one per line, up to 5. See Embed on your website. Starter plan and above.
Look
- Accent color: pick one of the swatches, or enter a Custom color such as
#0073ea. If the colour is too light for white button text to read, Waypost darkens the button until it does (a 4.5:1 contrast ratio or better). - Logo: a PNG, JPEG or WebP image, up to 256 KB. It appears above the form.
The public form follows each visitor's own light or dark system setting.
